Paths & anchors
Internal HTML links, element IDs and common HTML asset references. Handles base URLs, percent encoding and directory-index rules.
THE LAST LOOK BEFORE LAUNCH
Catch missing files, broken anchors and metadata slip-ups in your static-site export. Everything stays in your browser.
Choose the output folder, not your source project.
ZIP up to 25 MiB · Up to 500 HTML pages
Use your site’s origin and export root, ending with /. Example: https://example.com/docs/
Use when your ZIP contains build/index.html. Uncheck if build/ is part of the public path. Paths and anchors are case-sensitive; queries do not change file lookup.
Ready when you are.
YOUR RELEASE NOTES
A missing export target is not a live 404. Your host may apply redirects or rewrites. Verify your production environment separately.
A PRE-FLIGHT, WITH CLEAR BOUNDARIES
Built for a final pass on small exports, before they meet the internet.
Internal HTML links, element IDs and common HTML asset references. Handles base URLs, percent encoding and directory-index rules.
Missing or duplicate titles and descriptions. Basic canonical, hreflang, noindex, robots.txt and sitemap reference checks.
No live crawl, HTTP status, redirect verification, JavaScript rendering, rankings or accessibility audit. CSS URLs, JS imports, srcset, template content and form actions are outside scope.
2,000 files, 500 HTML pages, 64 MiB unpacked. 16 MiB per asset; 2 MiB per HTML/XML/text file. UTF-8 only. 50,000 references and 10,000 findings max.
ZIPs must use stored or deflate compression. Encrypted, ZIP64, multi-disk, duplicate-path, symlink, traversal and over-100:1 compression-ratio archives are rejected. Files are kept in this tab’s memory; Clear files releases the app’s references. Closing the tab ends the session. Downloaded reports and examples remain wherever your browser saves them.
HTML parsing uses a bundled inert parser in a cancelable worker. User scripts never run. Cancel terminates the worker; no partial report is shown. UTF-8 text is required. Duplicate findings with the same code, file and target are grouped with the first location and an occurrence count. Line and column locations refer to original source.
robots.txt checks only presence, explicit Disallow: / lines and Sitemap directives. User-agent groups and crawl permission are not computed. Sitemap checks read simple loc values, not the full XML schema. hreflang checks basic syntax, repeated tags and internal return links; language registries and full cluster equivalence are not validated. External URLs, HTTP headers, host redirects and rewrite maps are not fetched or evaluated.
Screaming Frog SEO Spider lists a $279 USD/year paid licence and a free tier limited to 500 URLs. Its paid offering includes broader live crawling, JavaScript rendering, saved crawls and integrations. LaunchLens offers local export checks only and does not replace that suite. Official pricing · SiteOne Crawler is another free option. Comparison checked October 12, 2026.
